Locals observed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts confirmed that various areas across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Emergency crews were working to restore power throughout the affected regions, with nearly 70 crews working to handle the widespread outages.
Victorian Storm Challenges
Meanwhile, nearly one thousand households in Victoria also experienced electricity disruptions after Melbourne recorded its most precipitation in over 500 days.
Emergency response teams handled over five hundred emergency reports across the state, mostly for structural issues but also for downed trees and water accumulation.

At one point on Sunday, more than 28k energy customers in the state were experiencing outages.

Tuesday was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk anticipated across different parts of both states.
